Minor Characters: Tante Jans, Pickwick, Nollie, Karal, Mama, Tante Anna, and Willem.
Nollie affects Corrie because Nollie has all the boys staring at her instead of Corrie.
Karal affects Corrie because she loved him a lot and he liked her back until he introduced Corrie to his fiance. Corrie was heartbroken when she she heard the news.
Mama affects Corrie and Betsie because she is a very strong woman and they were very sad when she died.
Decisions:
I disagree on how Karal left Corrie for another woman after they have loved each other for so long, just because his Mother wants him to merry someone pretty.
How this Story Changed my Thinking:
This story changed my thinking about the way I look at people. This is because I would never think that people were willing to risk their lives to hide Jews, even if they didn't know them. People were willing to give up their food and ration cards just to help Jews. I would have thought that most people would just have thought about themselves and whats best for them and didn't even bother to try to help Jews. In the worst of times, there are always people who stand up for what is right even if it is not the popular or easy thing to do.
